(1) BBC referred separately starting in greek on 40s ie in the period of WWII leading to the stations noted below but also putting Balkans as a unit : Albania Bulgaria Romania and Yugoslavia

is fist noticed with first transmission on 1938.
I was a fan of this station on the 80s and 90s when I listened them their Greek
service on 1215 and 1458 on the nights (times forgotten ) when except the news there was also a interesting ideology
program under the title “MarxLeninist theory
is the everlasting revolting world theory”
(3) BNR
as Bulgaria radio starting transmission on 1930 ending the previous decade.
I could hear this station on 747 (times missing) with also great interest It was transmitted in two
or three times per day.
(4) Radio
Bucharest , in a country where more than 10000 Greek immigrants started to assemble
the station of Free Greece this part also
shows a it more detailed background
I could listen to this station a very few times Unsure for the frequency but I think
it was on 757.
(5) Radio
Budapest : a few Greeks were employed
for this station .its transmissions wre heled between 1949 and 1983
I have no experience with its Greek transmissions ion the older times . There is
still a transmission in Greek from National Radio (Nemzetisegi ) on 1200-30 on 873 Thursdays only
(6) Deutche
Welle Their first transmission was on 13-4-64 but the most important programing
ws on April 67 the time Junta was established .
There was a funny case on 1989 when the mayor of Salonica started using radio feeds via the FM 100 and later adding
TV stations using the name of Deutsche KU-Welle after the name of Kouvelas the
mayors surname. This started a small rebellion against the government propaganda
of the time held by the then socialist party (this is my addition) I was asked for a system installation to relay satellite TV programs later.A few radio stations followed suit relaying Greek services in their program
(7) There
is a separate reference the days Greeks heard the news from the station caled “the Voice of
truth” transmitted via facilities in Romania as noted in the (4) above
(8) Radio Moscow with its daily programs till 1993 then called VORussia and then Sputnik. It was also one of the stations I herd older times
(9) Radio Free Greece called later The voice of truth . I have not been born that time neither any relative knows them . as noticed in the Era page it started on Jul 47 from Belgrade but later moved on Bucharest This is the station under the auspices of KKE, the leftwing party.
(10) RFI
started airing Greek programs under the name "Here is paris " during
the 40s with a program against Junta. Well
known journalists – tome – were the main personnel of this program
Stations unnoticed in the list above. From my exprience
(11) Unnoticed is the program of radio Skopja now Macedonian Radio which as you know is still on medium waves on 810 on 1930 workdays
(12) IN
the above list there was no mention of the Greek service of VoA heard first via shortwaves
and later has been replaced via satellite on 90s and stopped on 2014
after 72 years or programming.
This is one of the stations relayed via the TV100 facilities for short time on
1989. The antenna used was mine. Later another local station was airing the Greek program and after its
closed it still relayed the VoA news and mix program in various times per day. The
former in-head was member of the American counsel in Thessaloniki
(13) Unsure but I think that also RAI had a program via shortwaves
(14) Adding to the list TRT turkey had a long timed service towards Greece the older times. Now TRT continues offering news via its web page In its vault there are several podcasts that stopped on 2020
(15) The last to mention is the short living Greek service of R Armenia on short waves on 4810kHZ // 69.7 FM on 1530 since 2016 till 2019 as checked from my logs in blogspot This was a quite difficult signal in my house
